January 19, 2011 - 09.20 GMT Fraunhofer Research scientists have developed microscopically small nanostructure arrays of lenses that can record or project sharp images in brilliant colors. The pixels measuring a hundred nanometers are stored in a layer under the lens array. Such a microarray has around 250 microlenses and under each lens there's a micro image.
