Back in 1957, the Asahi company unveiled a new SLR, a world's first with a pentaprism in its viewfinder, under the new Pentax SP name.
Now, 50 years later, we've looked at its descendant, the Pentax *ist Ds. This is truly a great little digital gem. With its compact size, well thought ergonomics, simple controls, clear menu system, and excellent images, it will appeal to the digital SLR first-timer and the seasoned photographer traveling light.
