Pentax releases K-5 firmware and software updates
|
Pentax will release a firmware update for the K-5 digital SLR. Pentax has also released a RAW codec upgrade for Windows and an update for the Digital Camera Utility 4 that adds support for the K-5 and K-r, two new lenses and new functions, corrections and improvements. Contents of updating 1. Increases the number of continuous shot at RAW and RAW+ mode. *Setting condition: RAW(PEF)/ISO100, Increases the number of continuous shot from maximum approx. 8 frames to approx. 20 frames. 2. Improved stability for general performance.

The display is enabled by installing this software in Windows Vista and Windows 7 without developing the RAW file image (The extension is ".PEF") of which it takes a picture with a PENTAX digital SLR on Windows Vista.
