The KODAK s1220 Photo Scanning System provides novice and expert photographers with a simple method for converting hard copy photographs into digital images for easy storage. Images are used for archiving to CDs, DVDs and uploading to photo Web sites, including KODAK Gallery, to share memories with friends and family.  

“Digital images help consumers create new ways to use their photographs, from enhanced prints to personalized gifts, such as calendars or photobooks,” said Sue Cardot, Worldwide Director for Solutions, Document Imaging, Kodak's Graphic Communications Group. “For photo retailers, businesses, or gadget junkies, the s1220 delivers digital images that can repurposed for new projects at the quality of the original prints themselves.”

Available via Kodak's online store, the s1220 Photo Scanning System retails for $1,795 and includes a desktop photo scanner, as well as photo processing software. The versatile countertop system is capable of scanning up to 30 photos a minute at 300 dots per inch (dpi). Kodak's Perfect Page Image Processing Technology automatically adjusts image properties, such as brightness, contrast and color balance, helping to produce high quality digital images.

Beyond photographs, the s1220 Photo Scanning System can also utilize KODAK SmartTouch Software to process and organize scanned documents, in searchable PDF or TIFF formats, making this a truly versatile system.
