DCViews: 10 years digital photography on the Internet

Today, exactly ten years ago, we launched our DCViews website to support you in finding your way in the uncharted but wonderful world of digital photography. Not only the digital photography was in its infancy then, but the Internet was far from what we see today, in terms of user interface as well as performance. That's why we set out to develop an unconventional website based on our new triple AAA concept: Advanced, Accessible, Appealing. The concept has served our readers well over the years but where do we go from here?...

Your views and comments on our departure...Well, we've decided it's time to say goodbye…

Digital photography has come a long way (read our article on the Kodak DC50), has reached its maturity and has become a way of life. All the information you'll ever need is readily available on the Internet. Today you'll find thousands of websites dealing with all aspects of digital photography and as we feel that it's even becoming too much. (read our article: Online reviews: Added Value and Web Pollution!) we decided to stop now after ten years of service.

Our DCViews website will remain operational until the end of this year to service as a historic reference for digital cameras and the associated reviews.

We thank you all for your continued support over all these years and wish you all the best in your digital photography endeavors.
