All about the Carl Zeiss cinemizer personal video viewersCarl Zeiss has introduced a limited edition of its cinemizer video eyewear for design-oriented, fashion-conscious people. 500 of the extravagant models are now available. Owners of the video eyewear can now enjoy anytime, anywhere their own personal movies and videos which have been loaded on their video-capable iPod or cell phone. The cinemizer simulates a 115 cm screen at a distance of two meters for its wearers. This eliminates a common complaint of techno buffs: the screen of the mobile device is too small.
The matching battery that can be connected to the iPod provides up to four hours of power – if the iPod battery is empty, the cinemizer provides power and supports the iPod battery. The needs of eyeglass wearers have also been taken into account: they can select a diopter setting of +3.5 to -3.5. Integrated earpieces ensure the corresponding sound.

Anyone that wears the golden glasses can be sure that they will not only have the best image quality in front of their eyes, but will also be the center of attention. “The cinemizer is a very noticeable accessory. You can compare the limited edition to the Rolex Submariner from Dr. No," says a grinning Andreas Klavehn, Marketing Multimedia devices Manager at Carl Zeiss. Unlike the Rolex model with reference number 6536, the cinemizer is relatively inexpensive: 369 euros.

The cinemizer Gold Edition is available at selected dealers, including TECHNIKdirekt.de – as long as supplies last. There is no need to grieve if you do not get one of these limited models. The cinemizer is still available in silver, black and white.
