SUMMARY

The SD14 White Papers are documents that describe how the Sigma digital camera Foveon sensors capture images, as compared to how the conventional image sensors capture images. Here you will find information on how this relates to ‘pixel count' and how it may affect image and, in particular, color resolution. We have prepared two versions of the document, the standard/technical version is intended for more experienced digital photographers and technicians, and the consumer version is a somewhat less technical version, which describes the information in ‘laymen' terms.
