The Kodak EasyShare CX4300 - beautiful pictures at the touch of a button - digital camera and photography news

ROCHESTER, NY, Sept. 24 -- Eastman Kodak Company today announced the Kodak EasyShare CX4300 Digital Camera, an exceptional-value 3.2 Megapixel (MP) camera, that delivers high quality pictures time after time. The CX4300 will be available in October. With the CX4300's ergonomic "point and shoot" design, bigger, better prints, easy printing, e-mailing and filing options are just one touch away. The camera's premium Kodak Retinar all-glass lens and auto focus deliver superbly clear shots edge-to-edge up to 11"x14" (28cm x 36cm) and its 2X digital zoom helps picture takers get closer to the perfect shot.
With today's announcement of the CX4300 and LS443, the 2002 Kodak EasyShare family now offers seven cameras geared for the different needs of all digital photographers. The LS series - the new LS443 and the LS420 - combines features and functionality with sleek, ultra-stylish design. The DX series - the recently announced DX4330 and the award-winning DX4900 - delivers high performance features with sophisticated simplicity. The CX series - CX4210, CX4230 and CX4300 - consist of affordably-priced, reliable point-and-shoot cameras that make printing, sharing and filing high-quality pictures one-touch simple. Combining a full line-up of digital cameras, camera dock and Kodak EasyShare software, the Kodak EasyShare system is the recognized industry benchmark for ease of use in consumer digital photography.
Kodak EasyShare CX4300
The Kodak CX4300 comes with the recently introduced on-camera "Share" button that allows picture takers to tag specific shots for easy printing, sharing and organising. Simply dock the camera, and pictures are automatically ready to print or e-mail. The CX4300 stores up to 32 e-mail addresses for easy e-mailing. The camera is compatible with the optional Kodak EasyShare Camera Dock II, which makes picture transfer one-touch simple and automatically recharges the camera's battery. Automatic picture rotation is another clever feature of the CX4300, ensuring that pictures always appear right side up on the camera, computer or TV screen. In addition, the camera ensures that users will not miss a shot because of the special "camera always ready" feature. The camera is always ready to snap a picture even when it is in review or menu settings. It also comes with 16MB of internal memory, which means consumers can start shooting right away. Consumers can also expand their picture-taking capacity with MultiMediaCard or Secure Digital memory cards via the cameras' expansion slot.
As with all of the digital cameras in the Kodak EasyShare portfolio, the CX4300 is packed with the best image technology and built with ease and simplicity in mind so that picture takers are just one step from stunning photo prints. Using the Kodak EasyShare software, consumers have even more options to help them print, share, edit and file their pictures. The EasyShare system, including the EasyShare software, makes getting prints virtually effortless, giving consumers the option to print at home using Kodak's proprietary One Touch to Better Pictures feature with Kodak's extensive line of inkjet paper products; from home by uploading to either the EasyShare print service or another online photofinisher; in or at retail using Kodak digitally-enabled kiosks or over the counter.
The camera features built-in Kodak colour science, the industry's award-winning colour capture and correction system. The system provides vivid colour pictures automatically, and its sophisticated exposure and metering system improves colour consistency, increases sharpness and virtually eliminates poorly exposed pictures.
