HP today announced the newest addition to the consumer notebook family, the HP Pavilion HDX Series Entertainment Notebook PC “the Dragon” featuring a big 20.1-inch diagonal screen and innovative design along with six new consumer notebooks.

For users seeking a portable home theater experience, the HDX delivers rich multimedia performance on a brilliant 20.1-inch diagonal Ultra BrightView widescreen display and Altec Lansing audio supported by four integrated speakers and a subwoofer.
The HDX design features a dual hinge that allows consumers the flexibility to move or tilt the screen for optimal viewing plus a dockable full-function HDX Media Center Remote Control. It joins the HP Pavilion dv2000, HP Pavilion dv6000, HP Pavilion dv9000, Compaq Presario V3000 and Compaq Presario V6000 to expand the company's comprehensive portfolio of consumer notebook offerings.

The HP Pavilion HDX also showcases the exclusive HP Imprint finish “Dragon.” The additional HP Pavilion consumer notebook PCs feature “Radiance,” a new HP Imprint pattern with subtle lines radiating from organic circles across the surface of the notebook hinting at the interconnectedness of life in the digital universe.

The Compaq Presario notebook PCs introduce “Trace,” a new Imprint with a line pattern communicating precision and accuracy. The asymmetrical curve has a subtle reference to a human fingerprint, speaking to a personal connection with the notebook. All combine an eye-catching design under a smooth, high-gloss coating to reflect a user's personal technology style.
