PRESS RELEASE |
Getting true photo quality gloss prints from digital files just became easier with the launch of the latest in Fujifilm's successful line of personal photo printers, the Printpix CX-400 – and you don't even need a computer to use it! As well as enabling business and home users to produce photo-lab quality prints with the minimum of effort, the CX-400 also opens up the exciting world of digital photography to those without access to a personal computer. Prints at sizes of up to 6x4 inches are produced directly from digital camera media cards using the simple interface and built-in LCD screen. No longer will the digital camera owner without a PC have to wait to see their photographs in print – the CX-400 offers a fast, simple route to real photos from digital images.
The printer's two digital media slots – a SmartMedia™ and a PC card slot – mean that the CX-400 can print from most digital camera media, including the new xD-Picture Card format, using a PC card adapter (included). A USB cable and print drivers are also included for printing from a computer.
The compact CX-400 produces its ultra-sharp 310dpi output using Fujifilm's ingenious Printpix system, an eco-friendly technique that requires no inks, toners or ribbons, but generates colours in a special coated paper. Replacement of consumables is incredibly simple, and – since everything needed to produce the colour output is contained within the paper itself – just replace the paper and off you go!
The easy-to-use Printpix CX-400 offers outstanding printing flexibility, allowing the user to print photographs in a range of sizes (up to 6 x 4”) – with or without borders – using a Printpix paper roll. It also has built-in ID-photo templates, which make it ideal for printing standard and custom ID pictures.
Adrian Clarke, Director, Consumer Products at Fujifilm, said, “The launch of the CX-400 will cement Fujifilm's reputation as a one-stop-shop for digital photography. As well as offering superb photo quality output it brings the exciting world of digital capture and output to everyone – not just those who have a PC.”
As well as cleaning paper and a software CD-ROM, in the UK, the Fujifilm Printpix Digital Photo Printer CX-400 will be supplied with a card adapter for the xD-Picture Card, a roll of paper and a USB cable.
