Epson P-2000 Firmware Enhancements - Version 02.02






PRESS SUMMARY

This firmware upgrade is an enhancement to the Epson P-2000 Multimedia Storage viewer designed to increase the functionality and usability of the device. Included in this upgrade are the ability to view digital images taken from 17.8 Megapixel cameras or lower, the addition of a histogram and added RAW formats. This firmware is designed for those units that have a firmware version.01.01 or lower.

A closer look at the firmware upgrade:
The new firmware upgrade is designed as a self-extracting file that can be transferred to your P-2000 using the built-in memory card slots.
The enhancements include:
 
-  Ability to view up to 17.8 megapixel JPEG files.
  NOTE: Rotation of images larger than 8.9 megapixels will not be supported.
 
-  Addition of a histogram to show the intensity values of JPEG images.
  Pressing the Display key twice when an image is displayed full screen will
  display the Y value (brightness) as YUV together.
  NOTE: Only JPEG images can be viewed with the histogram.
 
-  Additional support of RAW** files for Konica Minolta a-7 digital (.mrw) and
  Pentax ist*DS, and IST*D (.pef) files.

-  Epson R-D1 .erf
-  Nikon D2X, D2H, D1H, D1X, D100, D70 .nef
-  Canon EOS 10D, EOS 20D, EOS D30, EOS D60, EOS Digital Rebel,
   300D, Kiss, EOS 1Ds Mark II, EOS 1D Mark II, PowerShot Pro 1 .cr2 and .crw
-  Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D .mrw (new)
-  Pentax *ist D and *ist DS .pef (new)
