PRESS SUMMARY |
Norderstedt, August 2004 - The most beautiful moments in life are often spontaneous and are over much too quickly. Whether it's an evening of games with friends or that big family reunion - everywhere there are opportunities that are worth recording forever. With the new digital camera QV-R61 from CASIO, enthusiastic photographers won't miss out on any moments, and the powerful 6.0 megapixels guarantee fantastic pictures.
Don't forget to pack the small compact camera on that trip to the lake with friends for a refreshing swim in summer temperatures. Thanks to the 3x optical zoom and the 2-inch TFT colour display, the QV-R61 user can capture the water fun from a safe distance. In combination with the Direct On function, with which the camera is ready to use after approx. 1 second, as well as the shutter release time lag of approx. 0.01 second1), the camera is extremely fast. So photography fans won't have any problem pressing the shutter release at the right moment for a lasting memory of that artistic jump into the water - in the high-speed sequence mode you can even record the entire event in one continuous motion. The new Auto Macro function, which switches automatically from normal auto focus to macro mode, enables fast and variable focusing. And if it's too dark, the integrated flash with red eye reduction and the Flash Assist function provide the necessary brightness. Alternating between individual functions using the easy menu guide is child's play with the QV-R61. The new Icon Help function shows you which photo mode you're in. And the practical Print Size Guide explains which resolution you need to print your desired format. With all this going on you have to be able to rely on your storage battery; the improved electronic components reduce energy consumption and the powerful NiMH storage batteries make the compact digital camera indispensable on long trips. In addition, the camera's metal body combines a BESTSHOT function (23 prerecorded scenes), Movie function, as well as self-timer, macro, an automatic calendar, world time
and an alarm function with picture. The integrated 9.7 MB memory store can be increased through any SD/MMC card. Measuring only 88.3 mm × 60.4 mm × 33.4 mm and weighing a mere 168 g, it fits in any pocket without a problem to become your permanent companion.
