Improvements in the communication processing with the CF card
This update includes the previous firmware update (version 1.0.1.0) as well as the current one:
- Specification changes for the way images are displayed in Continuous AF Mode.
- Improvements for the overexposure phenomenon that occurred during daytime synchronized shooting.
Note that cameras with a black dot on the inside of the battery cover already have the latest firmware, so the update is not necessary
The following description is for customers updating firmware. Because making mistakes during a firmware update could render the camera inoperable, be sure to read the precautionary information thoroughly before performing this update.

Precautions for firmware update
When updating the firmware in your camera, all of the settings that have been made will revert to their default values. After completing the firmware update, please make these settings again. (Does not affect registered My Camera settings.)
Determining whether a camera is subject to firmware update
From this page, go to the Download Page and enter the serial number written on the bottom of the camera. If your camera is subject to firmware update, the page for downloading the firmware update data will open. If the latest firmware is already installed in your camera, a page explaining that the firmware update is not necessary will open. |
