According to some publications in the Asian region, Nikon seems to plan to discontinue its traditional 35-millimeter compact film camera operations in Japan and focus on digital cameras.
The company aims to strengthen its profitability by focusing on the higher growth digital field, the "Nihon Keizai Shimbun" said, quoting company sources.
