On my news quest today, I came across an interesting article from Fraunhofer Research on new wind-turbines - although off topic but of current interest - and being Dutch, it got my attention. In the search for cleaner sources, wind energy is really taking off and giant wind turbines are currently on the drawing boards. The largest is the Enercon E126 with its blade tips reaching 198 meters, a mastodon compared to De Noord (45m), the highest historic wind mill in the world, and the Nolet (55m), a modern wind turbine in a replica tower mill completed in 2008...
