Sharp is to introduce the world's first triple-layer Blu-ray Disc that conforms to the BDXL format specification, the new multi-layer recordable Blu-ray Disc format. The new format enables recording approx. 12 hours of terrestrial digital TV broadcasts or approx. 8.6 hours of BS digital TV broadcasts.
