Nikon releases firmware update version 1.1.2 for the D40 and 1.01 for the D40x. The following issue has been resolved: With earlier firmware, the number of images that could be captured (battery performance) when an EN-EL9a was used was less than with an EN-EL9. With this update the EN-EL9a performance is maximized.
