Potential buyers of cameras should be careful when offered deals from suspect or untraceable sources. During the last quarter, several thefts have occurred at Dutch resellers and retail stores. On December 15, a theft occurred at the Leica distributor in France. The French magazine Chasseur d'Images has listed the serial numbers of these cameras. On Dec. 21, Nikon Germany became the victim of a theft of 192 D100 and 100 Coolpix 2500 cameras. Nikon has offered a reward of € 36.000 and posted the D100 serial numbers...
