FotoNation will demonstrate its new Dust Removal Technology at the Photokina. The dust on an imaging sensor, as can be seen in the illustration, is persistent and will usually remain on the sensor unless it is physically removed. The technology is based on the concept that the camera maintains an up-to-date dust map. This map can be used to clean up images in the camera upon capture.
