Pentax announces two compact digital camera models, the Optio M40 and the Optio E40. The 8.0 megapixel M40 features an ultra-slim, metallic body offering a 3x optical zoom and a 2.5 inch LCD monitor. Furthermore, it features Face Recognition and digital Shake Reduction. The new Optio E40 is an 8 megapixel, entry-level compact digital camera also featuring Face Recognition technology and Digital Shake Reduction.
