As Konica Minolta is the world's third-largest maker of camera film, it will be clear that yesterday's announcement will create room in today's shrinking film market. It will be clear too, that both Kodak and Fujifilm will try to get their part of the Konica Minolta heritage. Fujifilm has taken the first step with its Statement regarding its photography business: "We intend to continue our silver halide photography business and to further cultivate the culture of photography, and in so doing, continue to support our customers and retailers and all those who enjoy photography"...
