It looks like Eye-Fi, a developer of wireless products, can keep its promise to make "ease of use" in sharing of digital images a reality. The company has secured 5.5 million dollars of funding by Opus Capital and Shasta Ventures. Eye-Fi plans to release its first product, a Secure Digital memory card with integrated Wi-Fi chips (and currently in beta test), later this year. Initial plans were for a 1GB version, but a 2 or 4 GB version would be a saver bet, considering the ever increasing image resolutions in compact digital cameras...
