Leaders in Digital Imaging propose new standard for Direct Printing from digital cameras

Canon, Fuji, HP, Olympus, Epson, and Sony announced a proposal for a new industry standard for Direct Printing to computers from digital still cameras. Until now, each company had its own proprietary solution for direct printing between digital cameras and printers.This situation has limited consumers, as they cannot achieve the ease of use when using different brands products.
The specifications have been tentatively named "DPS".
