Canon releases firmware update version 2.0.0 for the WFT-E3/E3A wireless transmitter. This firmware update is only needed for use of the transmitter on the EOS 50D digital SLR camera. If you are using the EOS 40D, you do not need to update the firmware as the new functions only apply to the model 50D.
