Sony announces two new CCD image sensors. The ICX688SQG is an Industry First Digital Output CCD Image Sensor with all the circuitry included to deliver a 12-bit digital output signal. Inclusion of analog circuits and wiring inside the package has made it possible to maximize CCD performance, minimize power consumption and reduce noise.
