February 14, 2011 - 12:30 GMT At the University of Groningen in the Netherlands scientist can now use an enormous multi-touch screen. What makes this screen special is its size and the fact that it is a transparent curved screen with cameras, illuminators and projectors all placed behind the screen. Because of the diffuse layer on the front of the screen, the cameras cannot see through the screen, however when someone touches the screen, enough infrared light is reflected to see the tip of the finger.
