Researchers at Fraunhofer have come up with a new compression technique for films in remarkably good high-resolution HD quality. The method computes the films down to low data rates while the H.264/AVC quality is maintained. What the H.246/AVC video format is to high-definition films, the Multiview Video Coding is to 3-D films. That means that you can quickly receive quality 3-D films in connection with the new 3G-LTE mobile radio standard.
