Samsung announces its newest quarter-inch optical format, 5-megapixel system-on-chip (SoC) image sensor, which brings digital still camera functionality to high-end mobile phones. The SoC includes a fast frame capture with anti-shaking control feature that enables sharp pictures by reducing blur caused by jitter from unsteady hands.
