Scientists at Fraunhofer Institute with their hypoled partners have developed a beamer that is so small that it can be integrated in cellphones. Unlike conventional projectors it does not need extra illumination. Because the system can operate without a light source it takes up little space (prototype is 2.5x1.8 cm) and needs very little energy.
