For the last month, visitors to the www.vivitar.co.uk website are welcomed by an introductory screen that reads "exciting things are to come to vivitar.com, check back soon". And indeed exiting things have come to 70-year-old photographic equipment maker as it's tossed around again. In the autumn of 2006, Vivitar had been acquired for $26 million by Syntax-Brillian.
