Samsung has developed the world's first 64 Gigabit flash memory chip - using its 30-nanometer (nm)-class process technology. This flash memory device represents a major leap forward at a time of exploding demand for flash as the main storage medium in computing and multimedia applications. Sixteen 64Gb chips can be combined to make a 128 GB memory card that can store 80 DVD resolution movies, 64.000 quality JPEG images or 32,000 MP3 files.
