March 9, 2007 - 08.55 GMT Fujitsu announces its new LSI image-processing chip for use with 3CCD systems and Foveon X3 image sensors, as we have seen in Sigma DP1 and Sigma SD14 digital cameras. The new chip enables sharp, high-quality images to be processed in cameras in real time with low power consumption.
