HP announces the Photosmart R817 and R818. Both cameras feature a 5x optical zoom lens and a 5.1 megapixel CCD. Judging from the HP press release one could conclude that the only difference between these two camera is the body color. The R817 comes with a bold silver finish, whilst the R818 model comes with a dark midnight grey metallic finish. However, a price difference of £50, is somewhat steep for a metallic body only. The R817 can be purchased for £349 and the R818 for £399, bundled with the HP Photosmart R-Series Docking Station. Availability is July / August...More
