met with the Ricoh people for a briefing on a new camera. Today it's announced !
The new Ricoh Caplio RR1 is a 4 Megapixel digital camera with the same design as we have already seen before with the Ricoh cameras. It uses an optical viewfinder and has a very clear 2" flip and rotate LCD display with more than 200.000 pixels. The highest resolution is 2274x1704 pixels and the images are stored on the internal 8MB memory or on a SmartMedia card. The images can be stored as JPEG or TIFF. The multimedia functions of the Caplio RR1 support AVI.
