Nikon announces rechargeable NiMH (Nickel-Metal Hydride) batteries: one set of four Ni-MH batteries EN-MH2-B4, and a set that includes the battery charger MH-73. The battery charger MH-73 allows you simultaneous charging of sets of four batteries.
In addition, a firmware update will be released for the Coolpix L100 camera (supports four AA batteries) that adds support for these NiMH rechargeable batteries. The firmware update is scheduled for this Summer.
