Canon has released a Service Notice for the PowerShot G10 digital camera. For a limited number of these cameras Canon has discovered that in some rare instances, lines may appear in images captured.
The affected cameras can be identified by the Serial Number where the 4th and 5th digits are in a specific range. You should check the serial number on the bottom of the camera to see if your camera is affected.
Canon will provide free repairs for affected PowerShot G10 cameras...More
