Ricoh announces the CX1, a new digital camera with a 7.1x optical wide-angle zoom (28-200 mm in 35 mm film equiv. focal length), and a new high-speed image processing CMOS sensor, with a novel dynamic range double shot mode. This mode expands the dynamic range up to a maximum equivalent to 12 EV, and makes it possible to record images that give a near naked-eye impression.
