Voigtländer announces two new digital cameras for Europe, the 10 megapixel Virtus XM 1060 and the Virtus W8. The model XM 1060 has the looks of the everyday digital compact camera, but the 6x optical zoom lens sets it apart from the masses. The lens covers 7.8mm - 46.8 mm (equivalent 37mm - 222mm on 35mm). The model W8 is an 8 megapixel run of the mill digital camera that offers 4x wide optical zoom ranging from 4.6mm – 18.4mm (equivalent 28-112mm on 35mm).
