Ricoh unveils the new Caplio R7 digital camera with a 7.1x optical wide zoom lens, on a body only 20.6 mm. The new R7 retains the features of its predecessor to the Caplio R6 model, R7 enhances the line with the introduction of: Smooth Imaging Engine III, and an 8.15 Mp CCD. The introduction of new brightness and color-tone functions functions allows still image brightness and color-tone to be adjusted in the camera after the picture is taken.
