After months of speculation, Canon announces the 10.1 Mp EOS 40D digital SLR. Building on the 20D and 30D models, the EOS 40D advances the state-of-the-art for mid-range digital SLR cameras. The most easily visible upgrade on the EOS 40D Digital SLR is the new 3 inch 230,000 pixel LCD screen. The EOS 40D is scheduled for early September delivery and will be sold in a body-only configuration at $1,299.00.
