March 6, 2007 - 08.50 GMT Nikon unveils the new D40X, a 10.2-megapixel digital SLR, quite a step-up from the 6.1-megapixel D40 model. Nikon's press release refers to the D40 as the "sister model", implying that both models will merrily coexist. It remains to be seen how many new Nikon D40 buyers will opt for the 6 Mp model.
