Ricoh announces the new Caplio R40, an even more affordable version of the Caplio R4 released earlier this year, which offered a zoom range of 7.1x (28-200 mm). The new R40 inherits the R4's unique Double Retracting Lens System, but offers only 5.7x (28-160 mm) wide-angle, high-powered zoom lens in its compact, 26-mm deep body.
