Sony releases firmware version 2.0 for the Cyber-shot DSC-R1 digital camera. This firmware will fix a problem whereby a minute and irregular dot (or dots) of color or brightness appear in the recorded image. This problem is caused by incorrect image processing in the camera's firmware.
Only a limited number of cameras are affected by this issue. Be sure to check your camera serial number before applying this update...More
