Sony service notice on the Marine Pack MPK-WEB/WF

Sony issues a Service Notice for owners of the Marine Pack MPK-WEB and MPK-WF. It appears that there is a possibility of slight water leakage to the inside of the marine pack MPK-WEB, which has been sold from Sept. 2009, and the MPK-WF, which has been sold from Feb. 2010, when used underwater with specific Cyber-shot models (S/N WEB: 500001 to 503744, WF: 500001 to 503920). Sony would like to carry out a check-up of the specified models, and, where necessary, exchange the defective units free of charge...

 Important Notice to Owners of the Marine Pack MPK-WEB and MPK-WF for Free Check-up and Free Product Exchange
Sony regrets to announce it has found that there is a possibility of slight water leakage to the inside of marine pack “MPK-WEB”, which has been sold from Sept. 2009, and “MPK-WF”, which has been sold from Feb. 2010, when used underwater with specific Cyber-shot models.
Sony would like to carry out a free check-up of the specified models below, and, where necessary, exchange those defective units free of charge.
