Sony DSLR-A850 / DSLR-A900 Firmware update
|
Sony Europe has now posted firmware update version 2.00 for its A850 and A900 cameras.
The free firmware upgrade refines shooting responses and creative options with the A900 and A850 35mm full-frame DSLR cameras by Sony.
All new and existing customers are advised to install the upgrade that's available for download from the ‘Support' area of the Sony web site...

This utility upgrades the DSLR-A850 / DSLR-A900 firmware to version 2.00, and provides the following benefits:
[Release w/o Lens] item has been added in the Custom menu 2 You can release the shutter even when no lens is mounted on the camera (P/A/S/M and Auto mode).
The range of the exposure compensation has been expanded The range of the exposure compensation is expanded to ±5 EV (Before the update: ±3 EV).
An additional setting of the exposure step for the bracket shooting has been added The following setting has been added to the continuous bracket and single bracket shooting functions: The exposure bracket can now be set in 3 EV increments and the camera shoots three images ([3.0 EV– +3.0 EV]). (Before the update: Up to 2.0 EV).
The AF function has been improved The speed of autofocus has been improved. The improvement will be most noticeable when using a tele lens, however the effect is dependent on the shooting condition. |
