PRESS SUMMARY

Visit the Sanyo Fisher Europe site for additional information on the PLC-XW65Munich/Germany, 30 October 2008 – SANYO ensures flexibility in companies and educational establishments. Measuring only 265 x 74 x 189 mm and weighing in at a mere 1.6 kg, the new PLC-XW65 is the world's most compact and lightest LCD projector with XGA resolution. Thanks to its extensive array of features, it combines maximum mobility with a high level of functionality.

Smaller than a sheet of A4 paper, the PLC-XW65 is extremely handy to transport and is ideally suited for portable use in schools and universities as well as for travelling salespersons. In spite of its compact dimensions, the PLC-XW65 is packed with a host of features to permit perfect presentations even in unfavourable lighting conditions. The 2,500 ANSI lumens brightness is one such feature. Thanks to the 1,024 x 768 pixel XGA resolution and maximum U-XGA computer compatibility, all details are also visible in pin-sharp quality. The high contrast ratio of 600:1 also goes to produce a brilliant image.

The PLC-XW65 is up and running in a jiffy. Thanks to the direct power on/off function, it is possible to connect the projector in a matter of seconds and to start a presentation. Likewise, it is also possible to disconnect the projector instantly from the mains without having to wait for it power down. Also when it comes to choosing the place to install the project, users enjoy a high degree of flexibility. The PLC-XW65 features automatic vertical keystone correction of +/- 20 degrees. At the same time, it offers a projection ratio of 1.33 to 1.62 : 1, which is equivalent to a wide-angle lens with a 1.2x zoom. This makes large-scale projections possible in confined spaces too.

The PLC-XW65 can also be left unattended since the PIN code function acts as a security mechanism allowing only authorised persons to use the projector. The mini-projector is also extremely economical in use. The long bulb service life of 3,500 hours in eco mode and 2,000 hours in normal mode ensures long running time before the bulb needs changing. The low power consumption also saves money: consuming only 225 W in normal mode, 185 W in eco mode and a mere 3.8 W in stand-by mode, the PLC-XW60 also helps users save energy. The projector is supplied with a carrying case, infrared remote control (including batteries), a set of operating instructions, a mains lead, a D-sub15 cable and a lens cover. The PLC-XW65 will be available in specialist stores from late October for €860 (RRP excluding VAT).

With a three-year warranty on the projector and one year on the bulb plus a free exchange service that provides replacements in Germany and Switzerland within 24 hours for the duration of the repair, SANYO ensures that its customers enjoy the utmost in reliability.
