Panasonic releases new firmware for the DMC-G1 and DMC-GH1

Panasonic releases a new firmware update for the DMC-G1 and GH1. This new update offers the following improvements:
• Improved Auto Focus performance in low contrast.
• Improved the stability of AE control for new H-ES045 lens
• Decreased the operation noise of Auto Focus in Motion Picture recording for the H-H020 lens. (Applies to the model DMCGH1 only)
At the same time Panasonic releases a firmware update for the H-FS045200 lens...

Firmware update details


Update Contents for the DMC-G1 - Version 1.4
• Improved Auto Focus performance for the subject in low contrast.
• Improved the stability of AE(Auto Exposure) control for H-ES045 lens (to be introduced in Oct., 2009).


Update Contents for the DMC-GH1 - Version 1.2
• Improved Auto Focus performance for the subject in low contrast.
• Decreased the operation noise of Auto Focus in Motion Picture recording for H-H020 lens.
     In order to minimize the operation noise of Auto Focus,
     the Auto Focus operation speed is reduced in Motion Picture recording.)
• Improved the stability of AE(Auto Exposure) control for H-ES045 lens (to be introduced in Oct., 2009).  


Update Contents for the H-FS045200 - Version 1.1
• Improved Auto Focus performance in [AFC] mode.
• Improved Auto Focus performance in Motion Picture recording.
* Please note that Auto Focus in [FHD] does not work.
• Improved the stability of O.I.S. in Motion Picture recording. (except [FHD] mode)
• Decreased the operation noise of the aperture in Motion Picture recording. (except [FHD] mode)
