Ultra-wide zoom lens for digital SLR camera use only and equipped with HSM

This ultra-wide zoom lens has a wide angle of view from 102.4 - 63.8 degrees and it is exclusive to digital SLR cameras. SLD glass elements effectively compensate color aberration. Aspherical lenses provide maximum correction for distortion and various aberrations; high image quality is displayed throughout the entire zoom range. Equipped with HSM, this lens makes fast AF speeds and quiet shooting a reality, and it is also capable of full-time manual focus. It has a minimum focusing distance of 24cm (9.4”) at all focal lengths. It is also equipped with an integral Petal-type hood to block out extraneous light.

Ultra-wide zoom lens

10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM lens allows enjoyment of super wide-angle photography and it is a very powerful tool for indoor shooting and landscape photography with APS-C size image sensors of digital SLR cameras.
Wide angle of view 102.4-63.8 degrees offers the photographer greater freedom of expression.
* The angle of view changes depending on which camera model the lens is attached to.

Most Appropriate Coating for Digital SLR Cameras

The new multi layer lens coating and lens design reduce flare and ghost, which is a common problem with digital cameras and also creates an optimum color balance through the entire zoom range.

The best possible correction of aberrations

Three SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements are employed for effective compensation of color aberration, which is a common problem with super-wide angle lenses. One piece of glass mold and two hybrid aspherical lenses, offer excellent correction for distortion, as well as all types of aberration.

Inner focus system

This lens incorporates an internal focusing system, which eliminates front lens rotation allowing the use of a Petal-type Hood and also minimize fluctuation of aberration caused by focusing system

HSM(Hyper Sonic Motor)

The Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) ensures a silent, high-speed AF function as well as full-time manual focusing capability for Sigma, Canon, and Nikon-D mount lenses.

Minimum focusing distance of 24cm (9.4”) at all focal lengths

This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 24cm (9.4”) throughout the entire zoom range.

Sigma 28-300mm F3.5-6.3 DG MACRO lens

Compact High Performance Zoom Lens with a 10.7:1 High Zoom Ratio and optimized for Digital SLR cameras

28-300mm F3.5-6.3 MACRO lens covers all the focal lengths from 28mm wide angle to 300mm telephoto with 10.7:1 high zoom ratio as well as macro capability. 28-300mm F3.5-6.3 MACRO packs a lot of performance in a compact package with ultra compact dimensions (Diameter 74mm and Length of 86mm) that make this lens the ultimate traveling companion. It's the ideal lens all types of photography and optimized for digital SLR cameras.

Reduced Ghosting and Flare

The new multi layer lens coating and lens design reduce flare and ghost, which is a common problem with digital cameras and also creates an optimum color balance through the entire zoom range.

SLD Glass elements and Aspherical Lenses

This lens features one Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass element and one aspherical lens in the front lens group, and one SLD glass element and three aspherical lenses in the rear lens group. This lens provides excellent correction for all types of aberrations.

Macro photography with a 1:3 ratio

The 28-300mm F3.5-6.3 DG MACRO lens has a minimum focusing distance of 50cm at all focal lengths and is equipped with a macro mechanism for close-up photography at 300mm telephoto, allowing a reproduction ratio of 1:3.

Inner Focusing System

This design allows for stability and compactness in design as changes in focus are made in an internal lens grouping. This also gives the advantage of a non-rotating front lens assembly, which is of great benefit when using polarizing filter and Petal-type hood.

The "Zoom Lock" device

28-300mm F3.5-6.3 MACRO lens is equipped with a zoom lock to prevent the lens from creeping due to its own weight, and to offer protection whilst the lens is being carried.
