HIGHLIGHTS

World's thinnest, smallest and Lightest Digital Movie Camera

In order to miniaturize the camera without reducing optical performance, SANYO developed a zoom lens with high-refraction glass. High-density packaging technology was also utilized, along with a high-precision design. The new Xacti C6 is the world's thinnest (23 mm), smallest (124 cc) and lightest (140 g*1) model among video cameras with a megapixel-or-higher image sensor and an optical zoom lens.

*1 Not including battery or SD card.

New ergonomic Style, Sophisticated design

The Xacti C6 has been ergonomically designed for a comfortable one-handed grip. Its advanced, cutting-edge design*1 makes it a fashionable portable item. The Xacti C6 comes in three colors — gold, red and black — each of which creates an attractive finish. The control panel is located on the back of the movie camera for simple operation. Using just your thumb, you can take or play back pictures and control other functions.

*1 Not a continuation of a conventional product design, but a brand new design concept.

A World First: 6.0 Megapixel Still and Video Images Captured simutaneously

Using SANYO's proprietary technology and newly developed high-speed engine, the Xacti C6 can take 6.0-megapixel still pictures while shooting high-quality moving images*1. The visual format used is MPEG-4, based on the ISO standard. High-quality audio, meanwhile, is realized via the AAC format, a more efficient compression method than MP3. When using a 1 GB SD memory card, you can record 1 hour*2 of VGA-size video clips at 30 fps.

*1 When still images are taken, video clip shooting will be interrupted for approximately 2 seconds. Also, when the digital image stabilizer is on and when certain picture modes are being used, the field of view of still images will be altered.

*2 In TV-HQ mode (MPEG-4 bit rate: 2 Mbps).
