Van Gogh's "Starry Night" at 1.500.000.000 pixels

As a picture can "only" say a thousand words, Andrea Denzler has taken this proverb a step further. With his artistic program, to be found at the AndreaMosaic website, you can create your own mosaics composed of your own pictures, to be send as a hidden message to your loved ones. The image shown here is such a photomosaic of Van Gogh's famous painting "Starry Night". The image is made with over 210.000 tiny photographs and a total size of over 1.500.000.000 points, and effectively this is a 1.5 Gigapixel image...
